Totcomic is a family business devoted to buying and selling
comics and specialised in comics that are collector's items
(prior to 1970) and out of stock comics. With a solid vision
of the future Totcomic made a bid for Zentense to develop an
e-commerce solution to sell their stock of more than 30,000
comics from more than 1200 different collections.
They were not wrong. Today, Totcomic is the number 1 seller of
collectionist comics in the Spanish language, and a substantial
percentage of their income comes from overseas, from Latin America.
To ease Totcomic's everyday operation, we developed a tool to periodically
synchronize Totcomic's database with the one of their website. This way
Totcomic's on-line catalogue is updated frequently and easily.
And of course, Totcomic uses our order management module:
Cobaya.
Totcomic's home page gives access to the site's search engine and its
options (search by comic title, history title or collection title) as
well as providing direct navigation to directory of publishers,
publisher lines, collections and comics.
The publishers directory is divided into two categories: classic and
modern, depending on whether the comics were published prior 1970 or
not.
At any moment a comic or collection can be added to the shopping cart
if it is available. And from the shopping cart you can complete the order.
After introducing the required data (name, address, etc) and choosing the
shipment and payment method, the order is done.
Totcomic's success made them start new business directions selling comic
related products as Anime DVD's, protection bags or miniatures and
merchandising.
